Good Faith Estimate
Your Right to a Good Faith Estimate
Under the No Surprises Act, health care providers are required to provide a Good Faith Estimate of expected charges for medical and mental health services to clients who are uninsured or not using insurance.
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency services, including therapy.
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
You can request this estimate in writing before your first session or at any time during treatment.
