Frequently Asked Questions

Getting Started

  • If you’re feeling stuck, stressed, or overwhelmed, therapy can be a game-changer. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, managing relationships, or just need someone to help you see things from a different perspective, I’m here to support you. Therapy is a great fit when these feelings start impacting your everyday life and well-being.

  • You can book a free 15-minute welcome call directly online. It’s a chance to ask questions, share what you're looking for, and see if working together feels like a good fit.

  • All sessions are currently offered via secure video through a HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform. You can connect from the comfort of your home—or anywhere in California.

  • Once you book, you’ll receive a confirmation email with your session details and a secure link to join your appointment.

  • Yes! I currently have limited availability for new clients. You can check my calendar or reach out directly for the most up-to-date openings.

  • Most clients are able to schedule their first session within 1–2 weeks of the initial consultation, depending on availability.

  • Sessions are 50 minutes long. We’ll collaborate on a schedule that meets your needs—many clients find weekly or biweekly sessions to be the most supportive.

  • Yes. What you share in therapy stays between us. There are a few legally required exceptions—for example, if there’s a concern about your safety or someone else’s. We’ll go over this fully in our first session, so you’ll know exactly what to expect

  • Our first session is all about getting to know each other. We’ll talk about why you’re seeking therapy, your personal goals, and any challenges you’re facing. It’s a chance for us to see if my approach feels like a good fit for you—and for you to ask any questions you might have!

  • Therapy looks different for everyone. Some people come in with a specific goal and wrap up after a few months, while others find ongoing support helpful for deeper reflection and growth. We'll talk about what you’re looking for and figure out a pace that feels right for you.

  • Yes, absolutely. Whether it’s anxiety, depression, stress, or any other mental health challenge, therapy can help you work through it. Together, we’ll create a personalized plan to help you feel more balanced and in control.

  • It’s so important that you feel comfortable with me, and if for any reason you don’t, we can talk about it. I’m always open to feedback and adjustments. It’s also completely okay to find someone else if that’s what’s best for you.

  • Telehealth makes it easy to meet for therapy from wherever you are in California—no commute, no waiting room. We’ll meet via a secure video platform that works on your phone, tablet, or computer. All you need is a reliable internet connection and a private space. It’s flexible, secure, and designed to support you wherever you feel most comfortable.

Fees + Insurances

  • Therapy sessions are $250 for a 50-minute session. I know the cost is an important factor, so if you have any questions about pricing or need more details, just reach out and we’ll discuss it together.

  • I don’t accept insurance directly, but I can provide a superbill for you to submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement. Before we begin, I recommend checking with your insurance provider to see if they offer out-of-network coverage for mental health services. This way, you’ll have a clear sense of what may be covered under your benefits. Going the private pay route allows us to focus entirely on your goals, without insurance limitations.

  • If you need to cancel or reschedule, please provide at least 48 hours' notice. Late cancellations or missed sessions will be charged the full session fee.

  • To request a superbill for potential out-of-network reimbursement, email me.

  • I’m not currently paneled with Medi-Cal or Medicare, and cannot accept these plans at this time.

My Approach

  • CBT stands for Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. It’s a practical, skills-based approach that helps you identify unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors—and shift them in ways that feel more supportive, grounded, and aligned with your goals.

  • Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) is a research-backed approach that blends mindfulness, meditation, and gentle movement to help you respond to stress with more awareness and calm. It’s about slowing down, tuning in, and building emotional resilience.

  • Trauma-informed care means that your past experiences are always taken into consideration. It’s an approach that centers safety, choice, and compassion—recognizing that healing looks different for everyone, and moving at your own pace matters.

  • Evidence-based therapy means I draw from approaches that have been well-researched and proven effective. I use these techniques intentionally to support your goals in therapy, adapting them to meet your individual needs. It's about combining trusted methods with a personalized approach to help you make meaningful progress.

  • I currently work with adult individuals only. That said, many of my clients bring in topics related to parenting, relationships, or family dynamics—and those conversations are always welcome in our work together.
